Background Information:
Our by-laws provide for the election of one Board member by NOSSCR members in each federal judicial circuit. In addition, if the membership in a single circuit exceeds 250 members, that circuit is entitled to a second Board member. If the membership in a single circuit exceeds 500, that circuit is entitled to a third Board member.
Members of the Board of Directors serve two-year terms, which expire at the time of our annual fall conference.
The election results will be announced at the NOSSCR business meeting in Chicago on Friday, September 24, 2010. At that time, the Board will also announce the results of its members election for the positions of Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer.
I wish to express my sincere appreciation to Kate Callery, Chair; Robert Gutierrez, John Hogan, Thomas Scully and Stacy Thompson for their work in serving on the Nominating Committee.
If you need additional information, please do not hesitate to contact Nancy Shor, NOSSCRs Executive Director, or me. Thank you for your participation in the election process.
Let me also remind you of our up-coming conference in Chicago, September 22-25, 2010. I look forward to seeing you there!
