Seven of the current listings of impairments are scheduled to expire in July 2008, and Commissioner Astrue has expressed his desire that all listings reflect current medical knowledge and treatment. When the final listings are published, you'll want to know right away. We anticipate many changes to the listings in the upcoming year.

To keep you current with these revisions, NOSSCR offers a manual containing the Listing of Impairments for Adults, Listing of Impairments for Children, the Medical-Vocational Guidelines (Grids) and selected Social Security Rulings in a loose-leaf, 8 ½" x 11" format. This set of Listings and Grids is legible for photocopying and convenient for carrying with you to hearings. In addition to the current texts, we will provide you with prompt service whenever a change occurs. The charge for the updating service through the end of 2008 is included in the purchase price. Remember that SSA's “Blue Book” is not updated regularly, so there is no guarantee that it is current. By ordering NOSSCR’s subscription, you will always receive any changes as soon as they occur

New Subscribers in 2008: The purchase price will remain $195.00 for a new listings/grids manual. This includes shipping and postage for the current set, as well as all updates of all final changes in the Listings of Impairments for Adults, the Listings of Impairments for Children, and the Medical-Vocational Guidelines (Grids) issued through the end of 2008. When a Social Security Ruling on a specific impairment is issued, we will send that to you as well.

Subscription Renewals for 2008: For existing subscribers in 2007, a 2008 renewal subscription costs $120.00 and provides you with updates of all final changes in the Listings of Impairments for Adults, the Listings of Impairments for Children, the Grids regulations (Medical-Vocational Guidelines), and Social Security Rulings on specific impairments through the end of 2008. You can add the updates to your current book.
